After lengthy conversations setting up the repair and what I believed to be a clear understanding of the pay structure, on pick/up day, something completely unexpected happened. I arranged for USAA to pay the whole amount of repair and just pick up the truck, the front desk staff had me convinced that was all that was required. Between USAA and Trew, I paid 500 deductible and then spent the next half an hour getting USAA to reverse the charges and arranged for them to send the full payment into Trew.
I assumed that was the purpose of the staff and not the customer.
Great job on the repair, coordination on payment between USAA and Trew was poor as they just told me what I wanted to hear on the day of the estimate and did not follow though on the payment day.
Having a very small timeframe to fit all this in using the metrics promised complicated matters as well.
