Most of my experience was horrible, and I don't even know where to start. First, it took an unacceptable amount of time for my vehicle to be ready. I understand there was a delay getting the correct door hinge from Hyundai, and Larry told me that that particular issue was the culprit for the overall delay to have my car finished, but I don't completely buy that. While it is possible there may have been some delay caused by Hyundai not sending the correct part to them on several different occasions, I have evidence that indicates that there was significant lag on Service King's part as well; something they never wanted to admit anytime I would call to check the status of my vehicle.
And if the long wait wasn't bad enough, when I finally got my car back this past Monday I noticed several issues with the quality of the repairs right away. They told me they "had" to take my windshield off to make some of the repairs, and that "it broke" in the process. But the installation of the new windshield was not done professionally. Now I'm hearing a lot more external noise than I did when the original one was on, and I can smell the exhaust fumes from other vehicles around me a lot more than I did before, even when I have the AC vent closed to outside air circulation. I think it must be sipping through some part around the windshield. Maybe they didn't seal it correctly, I don't know. I am no windshield pro, of course, but something doesn't seem right and it could be the new windshield installation.
Also, Service King's bad quality of work can be seen by all the scratches they caused on and around my dashboard area and the way they put back together the plastic base cover around the steering wheel. I noticed that the two screws that hold that piece together do not appear to be the OEM screws, and that whole base around the steering wheel feels loose. It moves easily from side to side, something which it didn't do before.
Service King also damaged my passenger side electric mirror or did not wire the driver door correctly. The mirror cannot be moved from side to side, only up and down, with the electronic switch anymore. Note that the passenger side was NOT damaged at all during the accident, and the mirror was working correctly before Service King laid hands on my vehicle.
On the outside, I see several anomalies on the body work as well. The driver side headlight has some kind of metal pin protruding below it that shouldn't be there. I noticed some blemishes on the paint on the metal frame around the driver side door window.
Also, my car collected a lot of dust while sitting at Service King without a windshield and with all the windows down. Larry told me they would clean and wash the car really well once they completed the work. However, I found layers of dust still linger in the back behind the rear seat head rests and in between the seats. Anyway, I could go on and on, but the bottom line is I am not happy with Service King at all right now, if anyone there cares to know.
