This was my first experience with Service Kind and I have been to other body shops in the past as well:
Several things come to my mind:
- Taking the initial appointment just to get an estimate took a few days. The front desk definitely needs to be more polite and show some empathy.
- The estimate was completely taken based on just external pictures taken by a camera. There was no peek under the hood. No wonder, the actual cost was twice as much as the estimate.
- The repair was initially estimated to take two days, but took a whole week making plans for the work week a challenge.
- The hourly labor costs seem to relatively higher than those in the surrounding areas.
Things I liked:
- They do have a great dop-off and pick-up service and the driver was very nice
- They got my email address wrong when they entered it in their system, so I was not getting any initial updates, so I had to call in asking for when the repair is going to be done and had my email address updated. I subsequently started getting updates which was good.

My car was almost certainly going to be totaled, which would have been devastating for me at this time. Floyd worked so hard to find all the parts at a low enough price to fix it and I couldn't be more appreciative. When he had to pass the project along to Alan, they never skipped a beat. I was always informed and constantly updated on what was happening. To be honest, I haven't been to a shop that was more inviting and friendly. I felt like they took personal interest in making sure I was able to get that car back and as a nurse and a soldier, that car (as worthless as it may appear) is my lifeline. I don't know how else to say it. It was a great experience all around. Thank you so much!
