At Burnside Body Shop,we know that cars are definitely one of the greatest inventions ever conceived by the human race. We love our cars, pamper them and treat them like family in many cases, because they get us where we’re going in comfort and style.

Here are some interesting factoids about cars and everything automotive. Many of these surprised us and we hope you feel the same.

  • The longest journey by car in a single country is 19,758 miles and was achieved by Ateef Abdulla, Sheetal Shrivastava and Deepak Shrivastava (all India), who toured throughout India from April to June 2015.Ateef, Sheetal and Deepak, together with passenger Yash Shrivastava, called this journey their 'Drive Against Cancer' - their objective was to raise funds for cancer detection and treatment. The vehicle used was a Mahindra XUV 500.
  • For every 23 lives that car airbags save, they kill one person. It takes only 40 milliseconds for an airbag to inflate after an accident. Let’s hope no damage is done to your car before 40 milliseconds!
  • It would take around 200 years for you to drive your car to the Sun. That would certainly be a different kind of long drive.
  • This fact might lead you to believe that gasoline is very cheap in America. A gallon of Starbucks coffee is going to cost you almost nine times of what a gallon of gas is going to cost you.
