I would have given zero stars but that option is not available. Where do I begin, I had an accident on 4/3/2017. The person at fault's insurance company accepted liability about 3 days after. I took my car to this body shop on 4/6/2017. Sean was nice and made everything a breeze. I went there because Mercedes dealership recommended it and I trusted the name because I had great experience with the dealership so I gave it a try. My car was rear ended so it had damage to the back bumper. the trunk and tails lights were intact. not even a scratch. Erie estimated the repair at $7K. Euro Motor Cars estimated the repair at $14K of course! Erie was fine paying it so I didnt care. I was scheduled to pick it up on 5/10. a little over a month. I was ok with that since I know it takes time to get things approved and get parts in. I picked up the car on 5/12. I drove less than a mile and got a warning that the gas cap is open. I pulled over and checked it. It was fine. The warning went away. A day later, the warning came back and this time with a check engine light. I knew something was off. Then next day, I went to work and the security guard at the garage asked me how was the repair and talked a bit about it then he said "your car still has a dent" I was shocked. He showed me and it indeed the side panels have a dent. For the untrained eye, it is really hard to see but he does work on cars so he was able to notice. I called Euro Motor Cars and told them about my two issues. They asked me to bring it back. I took it back and even the manager came out to see what the issue was. I talked to him for a bit and a technician came out and verified that indeed there is an issue with the side panels. Anyways, I dropped the car off two days later after talking to Erie insurance. I did not hear back from them for two weeks so I called them only to be told that Erie has not gotten back to them yet about the repair. I was livid at Erie. I called them and they told me that they approved the repairs on 5/19. Anyways, I called Euro again and expressed my dissatisfaction. I was provided an estimate of 6/19 when I can pick up the car. Today is 6/19 and guess what? I received a voicemail saying that they will need to order more parts!!! So here is why I am upset: - The initial repair took a month and they missed a major issue with the side panels. If a security guard at my job can spot it, sure Euro's staff should be able to. Given how much they charge!! - Why my car was not tested for leaks the first time. Why do I have to wait for a smoke test now?? - Why was my car sitting in the sun in their lot for two weeks when Erie has approved the supplemental work. - Why are they just today (6/19) ordering more parts when they knew last month what they will need and that the side panels will need to be painted. Bottom line, I think their are milking the insurance company, incompetent, dont care about the actual owner since they are paid by the insurance, and more importantly, they dont care about how you feel. I made many calls and most of them went unanswered. STAY AWAY from them. If you need to go to a Merecedes body place, call the dealer and ask for another recommendation. Not this shop!!! Never again. I am paying $600/month for a lease of a Mercedes only to drive a Hyundai thanks to these incompetent people!
