How the Repair Process Works

As part of the repair process practiced at Karl's Collision Repair, all damaged parts are replaced with OEM (original equipment manufactured) parts. All structural members are installed either by mig or spot welding procedures to factory specifications.

All body work is primed with BASF premium primer, block sanded and prepared for painting. BASF's ColorMax® color matching system is used to match any refinish color. The paint is baked to a factory quality finish in one of our downdraft paint booths. Vehicles are color sanded, as necessary, and polished to a high factory luster. All vehicles are detailed and inspected before delivery.

Karl's Collision Repair uses only high quality BASF automotive paint, which is guaranteed for as long as you own your car. We work with all insurance companies.

The Paint Process

Producing the highest quality product is vital to the success of Karl's Collision Repair. The paint is mixed and matched with the computerized BASF paint mixing system and the base coat is applied with a high solids clear coat. The paint is then baked to a factory quality finish in one of two downdraft heated paint booths. Vehicles are color sanded, as necessary, and polished to a high factory luster. All paint work is backed by BASF’s lifetime warranty.

The Karl’s Collision Repair Guarantee

Karl's Collision Repair issues a Limited Lifetime Warranty with each repair that it performs. Although it is not transferable, it is good for as long as you own your vehicle.

In addition to our warranty, BASF, the manufacturer of our paint products, provides a Lifetime Nationwide Warranty that covers cracking, peeling, hazing, chalking, and even fading.

We are able to issue these very strong warranties as a result of the quality and detail put in to every repair performed by Karl's Collision Repair.
