Birkholz-De Jong Body Werks

The service I had with Birkholz in Naperville was not only bad business practice, but was also a case of bait and switch. I had a simple insurance claim that involved some work for insurance proceeds. They had promised my car complete within 7 days; they had my car in their shop for almost double that and it still was not to satisfaction. Not only that, I was to pay a certain amount and when I showed up to pick up my car, which was not complete, they had tripled my bill and would not take the check from my insurance company. Apart from the billing issue, they had destroyed pieces of molding with a buffer, put a scratch in my trunk lid that was not there prior to dropping off the car, and poorly installed multiple parts to a point where they did not line up. When I went to pick up my car, I felt the need to have a Naperville Police officer there to assist me. After all was said and done, I need to take my car to another shop to have the work done; I was not pleased with their service to say the least. I wouldn't let them fix a Match Box Car I'm not even sure why I trusted them will my Audi A6. If I could rate them negative stars I would.I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office
