Seam where hood and quarter panel meet is clearly out of spec. Steering was perfect prior to the accident and now wheel is slightly off center and the car pulls right. The brakes were firm before and now they are spongy and don't engage until the pedal is too near the floor for comfort. The damage was to the front end but someone went through the trunk and left the mat covering the spare tire lifted up and out of place. A car that has had body work should be clean and dry when presented so a check of the color match can be done. I realize it is Texas in spring and it was a rainy day but the exterior was covered in pollen and was wet when the car was brought to me. The front seat had grease on it had to be cleaned before I could drive it. The rental car was supposed to be non-smoking but the smell of smoke was overpowering and it was so small that no one could sit behind me. The service rep was very nice and promised to fix the seam and anything else that was wrong but it is difficult to have confidence when the brakes and steering are worse than when I drove the car in.
